We’re dedicated to promoting the benefits of school milk throughout Scotland and improving the health of our children now and in future development.

Scottish Milk
for Scottish Nurseries

Every child under the age of five is entitled to a free 189ml serving of milk whilst in attendance at a registered day care provider for two or more hours a day. This must be a day care service where parents leave their children instead of a care service where the parents stay and play.

Here at Cool Milk, we understand that offering nursery milk can be an administrative and financial burden. That’s why we offer a milk scheme that is free, simple, and doesn’t use valuable funds or resources that your nursery needs.

If you’re a pre-school, playgroup or nursery & would like to join Cool Milk, please get in touch by emailing [email protected] and one of our team will be in contact to set up your account, or call us on 0800 056 2146.

Why should your child

drink milk at snack time?

}

Fuel their morning

Milk can be a great energy boost at snack time, refuelling the body until lunch. Milk and water are the only two drinks recommended by dentists between meals.

}

Fuel their body

Milk provides a unique powerhouse of nutrients essential for strong, healthy teeth and bones, with more than half a child’s calcium and a third of their daily protein requirements.

Fuel their mind

Milk is excellent for hydration, which is essential for aiding the concentration and attention of young minds.

Fuel their thirst

Drinking milk fits into a healthy lifestyle. It is one of the best ways to re-hydrate after an active playtime; getting children ready to learn once again.

Fuel their future

Children who drink milk regularly benefit from a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build strong healthy teeth and bones, with studies showing that those who do are physically fitter in old age.
